1. Civil/Structural Engineer
Equagen Engineers PLLC is seeking a highly experienced Civil/Structural Engineer and Architectural Designer to join our team in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Proficient knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD with the ability to produce construction documents for various structural engineering projects, including detailed plans, specifications, and sections of building and industrial projects.
- Perform peer review of structural analysis reports and construction drawings prepared by fellow engineers and drafters.
- Prepare foundation and framing plans and details using Revit and AutoCAD software.
Develop and manage projects with clients, overseeing assignments, deadlines, and meetings. - Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Apply American AISC, ASCE, ACI, IBC codes and standards to construction documents, ensuring compliance and quality.
- Ensure structural design standards and guidelines are accurately applied.
Coordinate effectively with internal electromechanical, architectural resources and MEP consultants. - Review structural drafting in detail to ensure quality and compliance with design requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field, accredited by the Engineering Council.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in substation and industrial building projects, or 2 years of experience with international industrial projects, preferably US-based.
Strong skills in structural planning, design, and multi-discipline coordination, with attention to detail in drafting review. - Sound knowledge of steel structure planning and design, including detailing of bolted and welded connections.
- Proficiency with Revit / Tekla, Sap2000, AutoCAD or similar software.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high accuracy in calculations and design.
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines.
2. Architectural Designer
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain BIM models for architectural/ structural/ Industrial projects using Revit.
- Create Technical Drawings using CAD software (such as Revit, Autocad or similar programs) to generate 2D and 3D technical drawings based on sketches, specifications, and design parameters provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
- 3d visualization and presentation skills
- Collaborating with team members to ensure accurate and coordinated designs.
- Ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.
- Managing project data and documentation.
- Staying updated on industry trends and software advancements.
- Providing technical support when needed.
- Contributing to workflow improvements.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field.
- Extensive experience in architectural/Structural design and drafting.
- Proficiency in Revit software. BIM 360 is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
