Rural Women Development Centre (RWDC)-Gramin Mahila Utthan Kendra was founded in 1993 in Dang district with a vision to “Create a Self-reliant and empowered society. RWDC has been working for educational rights, women empowerment, reproductive health, income generation, governance, accountability; disasters risk management, climate change resilience, gender equality and human rights for rural backward and marginalized communities with “Zero Tolerance” to gender violence.

The “Innovations in Agri-Livestock Value Chains” project, conducted in partnership with Hefer International Nepal and the Rural Women’s Upliftment Center, is seeking applications from eligible Nepali citizens for various positions. Business Development Officer

  • Post No.: 1
  • Minimum Educational Qualification and Work Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in agriculture and economics.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in community development and vegetable value chain.
    • Proficiency in preface writing, report preparation, budgeting, and planning.
    • Experience in project implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
    • Knowledge and skills in small farmer empowerment and entrepreneurship programs.
    • Skills in personnel management, deployment, training management, and facilitation.
    • Special skills in agriculture and livestock-based businesses, women and youth participation in entrepreneurship development, and social mobilization.
    • Knowledge, skills, and experience in business planning.
    • Ability to work in coordination and cooperation with local government and other stakeholders.
    • Competency in computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, internet).
    • Must have a motorcycle license and be willing to spend at least 80 percent of the time in the project area.
  • Main Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to)
    • Implementing project activities effectively and on time.
    • Identifying business opportunities, challenges, and possibilities for cooperatives and processing centers.
    • Mapping and collecting data on farmers and products in the project area.
    • Facilitating the management and operation of cooperatives and processing centers.
    • Conducting field-level meetings, training, and workshops.
    • Providing technical services to farmers in the project area.
    • Data collection and reporting.
    • Facilitating business expansion and marketing of cooperative and processing center products.
    • Preparing and implementing business and strategic plans.
    • Liaising and coordinating with relevant agencies.
    • Documenting project best practices, success stories, learnings, and challenges.

Accounts Officer

  • Number of Posts: 1
  • Minimum Educational Qualification and Work Experience:
    • Graduation in Commerce.
    • At least 3 years of work experience.
    • Proficiency in accounting principles.
    • Knowledge of accounting software.
    • Experience in accounting report preparation, data analysis, and budgeting.
    • Knowledge and experience in local government accounting, budget disbursement, public procurement.
    • Ability to coordinate with local government and other stakeholders.
    • Must have a motorcycle license and be willing to visit the project area as needed.
  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Maintaining financial records using accounting management software.
    • Preparing financial reports and budgets.
    • Recording and updating project assets.
    • Managing logistics for project activities.
    • Handling office management and daily administrative tasks.

Agricultural Technician

  • Post No.: 3
  • Minimum Educational Qualification and Work Experience:
    • At least 3 years after passing JT in Agriculture or equivalent.
    • At least 5 years of work experience in community development and vegetable value chain.
    • Experience in project implementation and monitoring.
    • Knowledge and skills in smallholder empowerment and entrepreneurship programs.
    • Special skills in social mobilization.
    • Entrepreneurial skills and experience in business planning.
    • Ability to coordinate with local government and other stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in computer applications.
    • Must have a motorcycle license and be willing to spend at least 80 percent of the time in the project area.
  • Main Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to)
    • Facilitating meetings, training, and workshops.
    • Providing technical services to farmers.
    • Establishing business relations for farmers’ access to resources and financial services.
    • Data collection and reporting.
    • Coordination with relevant agencies.
    • Capacity building for farmer groups and cooperatives.
    • Documenting success stories and learnings.

Market Facilitator

  • Number of Posts: 1
  • Minimum Qualification and Experience:
    • Graduation with at least 5 years of experience in cooperative capacity development, agriculture, and livestock marketing.
    • Knowledge, skills, and experience in project implementation and monitoring.
    • Skills in smallholder empowerment and entrepreneurship programs.
    • Special skills in social mobilization.
    • Entrepreneurial skills and experience in business planning.
    • Ability to coordinate with local government and other stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in computer applications.
    • Must have a motorcycle license and be willing to spend at least 80 percent of the time in the project area.
  • Main Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to)
    • Collective marketing of agriculture and livestock.
    • Establishing business relations for farmers’ access to resources and financial services.
    • Data collection and reporting.
    • Business planning and capacity assessment.
    • Coordination with relevant agencies.
    • Capacity building for farmer groups and cooperatives.
    • Documenting success stories and learnings.
    • Preparing grant proposals for business expansion.
