Social Development & Research Center (SDRC): For the ASATHEET project to be launched in various municipalities of Dhanusha district in the near future, Social Development and Research Center Janakpurdham has invited applications from experienced and qualified Nepali citizens for the following positions within 7 days from the date of publication of the notice.

Currently, under the Girls Standing Strong (GSS) Project, which is being run in Jakanandini Rural Municipality and Bideh Municipality in partnership with Plan International, applications are invited from those with the following qualifications and experience within 7 days from the date of advertisement.

1. Position: Program Officer – 1 person

Desirable Qualifications: Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) and 1-2 years of work experience or Health Assistant (HA), with 3-5 years of experience in Early Childhood Development.

Experience:

• Worked in Early Childhood Development related programs.
• Able to plan and implement community level activities as per the project plan.
• Able to coordinate with local level stakeholders such as local government offices, primary health centers, health posts, HFOMC and FCHV.
• Able to broadcast key messages through local FM.
• Able to provide technical support to community level facilitators to conduct parent education sessions and dialogue sessions.
• Able to organize or facilitate community level training.
• Able to regularly monitor, evaluate and facilitate the performance of program activities by field officers and social workers.
• Able to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports.
• Good computer skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and good knowledge of the Internet.
• Able to go on field trips and participate in field level meetings and facilitate problem solving for effective implementation.
• Participate in necessary meetings, workshops, seminars, training and visits.
• Possess a two-wheeler driving license.

2. Position: Finance Officer – 1 person

Desirable Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in commerce or equivalent

Experience:

• Administration:
  • Maintain and update the office’s fixed asset register and stock inventory regularly
  • Assist with material and settlement related programs and administrative requirements
  • Coordinate with stakeholders at local and district levels regarding programs and regulations to be followed by the organization.
  • Regularly maintain and update the leave records of all program staff
  • Conduct periodic monitoring visits to program sites as per the plan
• Finance:
  • Effectively maintain the project’s financial and accounting systems
  • Disburse advances, review and verify field expenditures
  • Forecast monthly/quarterly budgets and request budget disbursements accordingly
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly project reports
  • Prepare monthly bank/cash reconciliation statements
  • Compile and review project ledgers for preparation of financial statements
  • Identify accounting issues and discuss possible solutions
  • Ensure internal control systems are in place in accordance with the organization’s financial policies
  • Facilitate external and internal audits of the organization
  • Maintain good collaboration and cooperation within the organization’s finance department
  • Collect taxes due to the organization on time and fill ETDS monthly
