Join ANSAB in Conservation and Community Development:
About ANSAB: ANSAB, a civil society organization dedicated to biodiversity conservation and livelihoods improvement in South Asia for three decades, is seeking dynamic and career-oriented individuals for an EU-funded project. This project, in partnership with ADRA Nepal, focuses on resilient ecosystems and community development in Banke and Bardiya districts.
Positions Available:
1. Biodiversity Specialist (1 Position)
- Duty Station: Banke
- Duration: 4 years (initially 1 year)
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement project activities in the field
- Support forest user groups in sustainable forest management practices
- Build the capacity of local stakeholders on ecosystem services management
- Conduct biodiversity assessments and awareness campaigns
- Empower forest user groups with gender-transformative plans
Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in forestry with 2 years of experience or B.Sc. with 4 years of experience
- Proficiency in English and Nepali
- Knowledge of sustainable forest management and GIS
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
2. Forest Technicians (2 Positions)
- Duty Stations: Banke & Bardiya
- Duration: 4 years (initially 1 year)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct forest inventory and assessments
- Provide training on sustainable forest management to user groups
- Support forest management and biodiversity conservation activities
- Implement field-based activities in project areas
Qualifications:
- Minimum B.Sc. in forestry with 1 year of experience
- Proficiency in English and Nepali
- Knowledge of community forestry and forest inventory
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
