Arise and Shine is an initiative to address the prevailing spiritual, social, and economic needs among Nepali youth within the Lalitpur district of Kathmandu Valley. ANS responds to the problems of the prevailing negative environment of bullying, unhealthy relationships, substance abuse, petty crimes, disinterest in school studies, to name a few, of the young people. ANS addresses these problems of young people by operating a Youth Centre that is safe, loving, and informal where they wish to come regularly to spend their free times by playing games, music, meeting friends, reading books etc. ANS also engages young people in activities that develop their skills that shapes and empowers them for their better career opportunities.
1. Program Assistant
OVERVIEW
We are looking for active youth program assistant staff. If you have a passion to develop young people, help their families in the holistic development of their teenage children, and help build a holistic approach to youth development, we would like to invite you to join our staff team to work together and make the vision of ANS come true.
- Major Responsibility
- Take part in program planning and implementation
- Assist in DZ supervision and plan execution
- Assist in organizing CST program and supervision
- Record keeping, program documentation and filing
- Assist in DZ and CST program supervision
- Attend weekly CST and assist accordingly
- Assist Program Associate for arranging logistics and communication
- Build rapport with youths coming
- Assist in report writing and reporting
- Assist in program administration
- Facilitation in CST
- Assist in periodic program
- Responsibility for program execution and management
- Cooperation among team members
- Punctuality and confidentiality
- Problem solving skills
- Good dealing with others in terms of coordination
- Proactiveness and dedication towards the work
- Other Responsibilities
- Tasks as assigned by Supervisor (PC)

- Minimum plus 2 passed (bachelor’s degree is preferred)
- Minimum 1 year experience

2. Admin & Finance Assistant
- Major Responsibility
- Record and organize all financial transactions, including receipts and invoices.
- Track expenses to ensure alignment with budget guidelines.
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Maintain an organized filing system for financial and administrative documents.
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
- Perform accurate data entry for finance and administrative records.
- Assist in TDS and E-TDS process.
- Attendance and Leave record.
- Prepare and organize supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Process vendor payments and ensure timely reimbursements.
- Monthly payment of utilities.
- Assist in budget planning and provide regular updates on expenditure.
- Coordinate logistics in team building and organizational events.
- Support teams with budget and its expense tracking for specific activities.
- Reconcile petty cash and track its usage.
- Prepare reports on financial data.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and employee information.
- Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
- Basic Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and accounting software.
- Bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Record management and organization.
- Communication and coordination skills.
- Time management and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field (preferable).

3. Youth Center InCharge
Overview
We are looking for an active youth program assistant staff. If you have a passion to develop young people and help their families in the holistic growth of their teenage children and help build a holistic approach to youth development, we would like to invite you to join part of family to work together in making the dream of ANS a success.
Basis: Part time (Mon-Fri and on Sat from 1 to 6 pm)
Location: Dharan-05, Koshi
Objective of the position: To carry out the Youth Centre project at Dharan with D.P. Believers School and implement it effectively
- Major Responsibility
- Program planning and carry out all the plans made by head office
- Program organizing (logistics, run errands and communication)
- Program execution and management
- Organize periodic programs or events if needed
- Program monitoring and evaluation (reporting and feedback)
- Take care of mini library or books for DZ comers
- Make a payment, receipt and voucher
- Deposit and bank transaction
- Administration and finance (bill entry and record keeping)
- Handle petty cash and cash flow
- Manage day to day operations
- Record keeping (both soft and hard copy)
- Documentation and filing
- Take responsibility of ANS properties
- Youth supervision and care (Youth values and policies)
- Maintain the registration, sign in/ out, visitor log book, data entry, collect forms, etc
- Handle calls, communication and follow up
- Weekly updates and reporting
- Facilitate session in weekly CST and coordination
- Supervise intern/ volunteers
- Provide brief orientation on YC project to anyone who visit by or join programs
- Build rapport with youths coming
- Build rapport with parents of teens
- Report writing (monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual)
- Serve a cup of juice/ tea to every youths joining DZ
- Serve snacks to youths joining weekly CST
- Follow program checklists and guidelines
- Provide a basic counseling to the youths and parents
- Monthly report on both finance administration and program
