Vacancy Announcement: National Federation of the Disabled Nepal (NFDN)

The National Federation of the Disabled Nepal (NFDN) is the national umbrella organization for persons with disabilities in Nepal. With over 400 OPDs (Organizations of Persons with Disabilities) across the country, NFDN has been dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights of persons with disabilities since 1993. NFDN is currently seeking highly experienced and qualified individuals for various positions:

1. Project Coordinator – Action for Inclusion (DPOD and FFO)

• Location: NFDN, Federal Office, Ratopul
• Job Purpose: The Project Coordinator will oversee the implementation of the “Action for Inclusion” project, ensuring policy review/implementation, capacity building, advocacy, awareness raising, networking, and coordination to promote the rights of persons with disabilities.
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (preferred master’s) in a relevant field, at least five years of experience, including working with persons with disabilities, and strong communication skills.

2. Project Coordinator – Disability Data Analysis and Disability Inclusion Survey (UNDP)

• Location: Federal Office of NFDN at Ratopul (with frequent visits)
• Job Purpose: This Project Coordinator will implement the “Disability Data Analysis and Disability Inclusion Survey” project, including data collection, analysis, advocacy, and workshop organization.
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (preferred master’s) in a relevant field, at least two years of experience in NGO environments, and a strong understanding of disability inclusion.

3. Advocacy Officer – Disability Data Analysis and Disability Inclusion Survey (Federal)

• Location: Federal Office of NFDN at Ratopul (with frequent visits)
• Job Purpose: The Advocacy Officer will support the implementation of the project activities related to data collection, analysis, advocacy, and awareness raising at the federal level.
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least two years of experience in implementing disability-inclusive programs, and strong networking and coordination skills.

4. Local Focal Person – Mithila Municipality, Madesh Province

• Location: Mithila Municipality (with frequent field visits)
• Job Purpose: The Local Focal Person will implement project activities in Mithila Municipality, focusing on social inclusion, advocacy, and coordination with local stakeholders.
• Qualifications: Minimum 10+2 completed, pro-active, and self-motivated, with basic knowledge of disability-related issues and local networks.
