CRS Nepal Announce A Vacancy for KLM Coordinator in Lalitpur
CRS is an international NGO based in the United States that works in over 100 countries to promote human development by responding to major emergencies, fighting diseases, poverty, and nurturing peaceful and just societies. CRS started its operational presence in Nepal in response to the 2015 earthquake, providing immediate emergency response in multiple districts and earthquake recovery support. CRS Nepal has been coordinating the reconstruction through the leadership of the National Housing and Settlements Resiliency Platform (NHSRP), formally known as Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP) since March 2017 to provide technical and information management support to relevant national, provincial and local governments. Similarly, CRS expanded its programming to other disasters responses (Lamjung, Jajarkot) in country as well as other sectors, namely Livelihoods, DRR and Climate Change. CRS Nepal is also implementing a USAID-financed livelihood technical assistance program, Farmer to Farmer (F2F), in Bagmati Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province.

As a member of the MEAL department, you will roll-out of CRS KML solution for the Country Program and monitor and report on all project activities in support of CRS’ work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that CRS and partners consistently applies best practices – focused on data-informed decision-making – and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.
Job Responsibilities For KLM Coordinator
Monitoring and Evaluation
Work with MEAL Manager II and Program team to ensure the collection of relevant and appropriate data needed for an effective MEAL system which will be utilized in monitoring strengths, weaknesses and gaps in existing projects/ programs and services and for reporting on donor commitments.
Ensure proper implementation of CRS information management system to routinely capture data including timeliness and completeness of data entry.
Ensure each project has data retention process in place.
Train or providing routine support/coaching to partner and field level staff on use of database and routine monitoring including maintenance of quality of data. Conduct DQA as per Country Program priorities.
Undertake data verifications and cleaning by working together with partner staff, field staff, program and MEAL teams who are engaged in data collection.
Analyze data and support to produce high-quality routine/periodic reports that highlight key findings, trends, and recommendations for program improvement and adaptive management.
Conduct field monitoring visits to program areas for data validation, to capture learning from program implementation and to support field staff in proper implementation of recording and reporting of data. Prepare post visit brief reports with major findings and share with relevant program focal person and line Manager.
Support MEAL Manager II to prepare periodic donor reports by ensuring that database is up to date with programmatic routine data and by preparing relevant analysis of data as per need of the donor.
Lead annual reporting of CRS Global Results and Participants Service Delivery Indicators.
Learning and Knowledge Management
Support the integration and development of CRS Information Management System to enhance access and use.
Ensure collaboration and coordination in learning and knowledge management with MEAL Manager II, Head of Programs and Business Development Specialist to drive the learning agenda of the Country Program.
Identify, collect, and document case study, lessons learned, and best practices on a routine basis through field visits, data analysis, and continued coordination and communication with program and field staff.
Prepare knowledge products based on the documentation of case studies/best practices/evaluations/internal assessments to be disseminated with program staff and other relevant external stakeholders.
Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) in knowledge capture, cleaning, quality checks, storage, sharing and institutionalization.
Support MEAL Manager II and Program staff to conduct periodic review meetings and learning events with relevant stakeholders including government, implementing partners.
Promote the culture of learning and knowledge sharing across teams, share project updates through newsletters and social media.
Establish and maintain relationships with KML colleagues in other CPs and HQ. Participate in KML Community of Practice and other relevant KML forums to foster collaboration and promote CRS’ work.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience in the field of MEAL and Knowledge Management for minimum of 3+ years in a similar role.
Experience in developing analysis from available data and evidence through case studies, process documentation guides and other project artifacts.
Experience in coordinating with project and partner staffs to provide technical support and orientation in implementation of MEAL, reporting monitoring projects and collecting relevant quantitative and qualitative data.
Experience in using data visualization tools, information sharing platforms and social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in MEAL for an International NGO is a plus.
Experience in Information Communication Technologies (ICT) for Development (ICT4D) using CommCare and Power BI software is a plus.
Experience in project support in other sectors is a plus.
Candidates with GESI diversity is a plus, including gender (female, other); marginalized groups; persons with disability; and, origin from geographically marginalized location is a plus.
