Summary:

The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Custodial Supervisor. This vacancy is open to all interested applicants.

The work schedule for this position is Full Time (40 hours per week).

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties

The incumbent works directly under the supervision of the Facility Manager and is responsible for supervising custodial work in the U.S. Mission. The incumbent supervises and coordinates the efforts of custodial staff, in cleaning duties including but not limited to floor/carpet, furniture and bathrooms. The incumbent is responsible for ordering and distribution of expendable custodial supplies. The incumbent ensures all cleaning detergents, materials and equipment meet safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE Two years of custodial or janitorial experience in a reputable organization is required.  One year of experience in supervising a custodial/ janitorial workforce is also required.
KNOWLEDGE  Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and products is required. General understanding of the local government regulation on waste management is required. 
Education Requirements Completion of Secondary Education is required.
Evaluations These may be tested (Language, Skills, and Abilities).
LANGUAGE  Good Working Knowledge Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.  Good Working Knowledge Speaking/Reading/Writing Nepali is required
SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to use Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) is required.
