The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Custodian. This vacancy is open to all interested applicants.
The work schedule for this position is Full Time (40 hours per week).
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties
Under the direct supervision of Custodial Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for performing a wide range of cleaning duties at U.S. Mission office facilities as well as other U.S. Government (USG) owned and leased properties as directed. The incumbent performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to cleaning floors and carpets of offices, corridors and other areas by mopping, vacuum cleaning and sweeping. The incumbent cleans restrooms, scrubs and waxes floors, disinfects, and deodorizes lavatories, replaces soap, deodorizers, towels, and toilet tissues.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of six months of custodial or housekeeping experience is required.
Education Requirements: Completion of primary education is required.
Evaluations:
These may be tested ( Language, Skills, and Abilities).
LANGUAGE: Rudimentary Reading/Speaking English is required. Good Working knowledge Reading/Writing/Speaking Nepali is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to physically perform basic manual tasks is required. Ability to use cleaning tools is required. Ability to stand and work in confined spaces is required.
