About Us
Rastriya Rojagar Prawardhan Kendra (RRPK) is a non-governmental, non-profit social development organization, established in 2061 BS (2004AD) by a team of active professionals with long experience in the field of integrated community development, specifically community organization, health, and disability, HIV and AIDS, Community forestry, micro-finance, gender and empowerment, good governance, child rights, Inclusive Education in Nepal (Sikai), Livelihood, Safe Migration, DRR and WASH. RRPK is registered under Society Registration Act, 2034, at the District Administration Office of Sarlahi. It is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) Nepal and is a member of NGOCC and Federation Sarlahi. RRPK started its social development program in Sarlahi district from 2005.
RRPK is implementing “Strengthen Inclusive Education-Sikai” Project in Sarlahi district of province-2, in partnership with World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), HANDICAP INTERNATIONAL (HI) & WORLD EDUCATION, INC. Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor in Education field or equivalent with a minimum of three years of working experience in Inclusive Education, disability, or related field.
- Past experience in Inclusive Education, disability, and formal/non-formal education is preferred
Major Responsibilities
- Take the lead for the implementation of the SIKAI project activities focused on inclusive education and disability as per the Implementation Plan at the district level in close coordination with district and central level teams.
- Demonstrate leadership role as thematic lead on disability and inclusive education in the district.
- Monitor the budget vs. expenses, update DIP, and closely track the records of activities’ implementation.
- Provide support to and monitor the activities of itinerant teachers whose role will be to support children with learning difficulties at school, community, and home.
- Plan, facilitate, and support to conduct activities for the capacity building of disabled people’s organizations (DPOs), Disability Coordination Committee, and community groups so that they work for people with disabilities especially children for their education.
- Adaptation of project implementation strategies as per the changing scenario in the local context in coordination with district and central-level teams.
- Carry out regular field monitoring visits with the aim of improving performance, activities tracking, quality achievement, and sustainability of the project and also support external visits, and evaluation studies during the field visit.
- Plan, manage, and facilitate field-level training/workshops such as training to teachers, parents/caregivers, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports incorporating the best practices and lessons learned.
- Collect the information for the case studies, compile the case stories, and submit them as required.
- Maintain accurate project database updated monthly, disaggregated by gender, and disabilities, and gather other information and evidence as and when required.
- Initiate/facilitate exchanges and linkages across the different initiatives taking place in districts in terms of Inclusive Education, formal/non-formal education, and disability to ensure common issues do strengthen and add value in the whole sector of Inclusive Education and disability.
- Liaise with NGOs and project-related line government departments to explore various possibilities for developing/bringing in policy-level changes for making the project inclusive and increasing the impact on the project at the municipal and district level.
- Lead the project team in initiating and/or reinforcing the network system within existing structures to promote Inclusive Education and mainstreaming disability issues in the district.
