EmpowerED: Building Bridges for inclusive Education and Community Engagement

Fatima Foundation-Nepal has been a beacon of change since its establishment in 2004, tirelessly working to ensure the human rights of women and children. With a steadfast commitment to fostering development, the Fatima Foundation-Nepal has strategically focused on addressing the needs of disadvantaged groups, particularly women, youth from the Muslim and Madhesis communities.

In partnership with The Asia Foundation under the Civil Society and Media Activity supported by the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Fatima Foundation-Nepal is embarking on a transformative journey. The upcoming project, Empower ED: Building Bridges for Inclusive Education and Community Engagement, is slated to commence in December 2023 and conclude in December 2024.

Position: Project Coordinator

Job type Fulltime
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of expertise such as Education Development or policy in Nepal or related field of study required; master’s level preferred.
  • Proven experience in project coordination, management, .
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a leadership role and in the development sector.
  • Excellent communication oral skills, presentation, and good writing in English and Nepali
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of the “EmpowerED” program.
  • Coordinate activities with various stakeholders, including community members, local authorities, and partner organizations.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgetary guidelines, and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate team collaboration and communication for effective project execution
  • The Project Coordinator will craft captivating and precise reports that artfully convey project insights to meet stakeholders! unique requirements.
  • Conduct surveys and studies along with support to prepare school management plans of community schools of project areas.
  • Ensure Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) in all aspects of activities implementation.

2. Position: Admin & Finance Officer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in financial management and administration.
  • Proven track record in budgeting, expense tracking, and compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, procurement, and risk analysis.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate financial records and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Meticulously track expenses and identify areas for cost optimization. Implement cost- saving measures without compromising efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, legal requirements, and policies. Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis.
  • Allocate resources effectively, balancing financial constraints with needs. Contribute to financial forecasting and planning activities.
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships, negotiating favorable terms. Streamline procurement processes and optimize costs.

3. Position: Social Mobilizers (Two Positions):

  • +2 in a relevant field.
  • Experience in community mobilization and engagement.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the development field.
  • Implement community engagement activities in the assigned villages (Ganapur, Jhandawa, Banjare Gaon, or Betahni).
  • Assist to conduct awareness campaigns, community meetings and dialogues, and capacity-building initiatives to gather input, address concems and encourage active Participation in project initiatives.
  • Foster collaboration with community members, local organizations, and key influencers.
