Partnership Assistance Center (PACE Nepal), a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered in Jumla since 2006, has been dedicated to making a positive impact in the Karnali region for the past 16 years.

They are working in four districts including community mobilization, advocacy, livelihood, poverty alleviation, human rights, social development, small enterprises, infrastructure, climate change adaptation, natural resource management, disaster risk reduction. , good governance, health promotion and education.

PACE-Nepal, in partnership with Plan International Nepal, is preparing to implement the “Girls Standing Strong (GSS) Project, targeting girls, adolescents, young women and girls to ensure their right to live free from child marriage and forced marriage. Nepal is now eligible to fill the following positions immediately. and is inviting applications from experienced candidates.

Post: Finance Coordinator – 1 (Female)

Duty Station: Jumla District Office (frequent movement to project area)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keeping records of overall program expenses according to the instructions of the program unit.
  • Prepare financial reports and ensure financial transactions, payments, and purchases are conducted in accordance with organization policies and government regulations.
  • Submit financial and administrative reports to program coordinators/donors, including accounting principles, entry of vouchers/transactions into real ledger software, and production of required financial reports and statements.
  • Assist in organizing internal and external audits.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of income goods, equipment, materials, and their proper account posting.
  • Compute the applicable source tax, make timely deposits to the concerned office, and maintain the E-TDS system.
  • Maintain proper filing and effective documentation of all finance and administration related documents.
  • Facilitating the advance release of the project implementation program at the district and municipality levels.
  • Obtain, verify, and ensure that supporting documents are submitted by program staff when settling in advance.
  • Check and ensure attendance, payment, and other necessary supporting documents required for settlement.
  • Provide orientation to new project staff on project financial standards and policies.
  • Prepare and submit qualitative and quantitative financial reports to Plan International Nepal.
  • Perform any other duties as required or requested by the Line Manager and the Board.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Business Studies (BBS), Commerce or equivalent from a recognized University with at least 5 years of experience in NGO sector or related field. OR Master’s degree in Business Studies (MBS) from a recognized university with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Strong experience handling budgets, plans, documents, and financial accounting systems independently.
  • Experience in office management, personnel management, basic finance management, and procurement management.
  • Excellent financial report writing, data management, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience using MS Office package (Word/Excel/PowerPoint, etc.) and Internet. Experience working in a computerized accounting environment such as True Book and ability to lead the financial management of projects/programs, linking this to the overall financial management of the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of child and women’s rights, gender justice, and an advanced understanding of the development and NGO sector.
  • Experience reporting to donors in an NGO environment.
  • Experience working with coalitions and networks.
  • Proficiency in English and Nepali languages both spoken and written.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage work independently.
  • Good understanding of Nepalese laws related to tax, insurance, etc.

Salary and Benefits: As per organization norms and project agreement.
