Finance Manager Job Vacancy 2023 in Helvetas Nepal

Helvetas Nepal is a Swiss non-governmental organization actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal. Helvetas Nepal invites applications from competent and committed Nepali citizens for the following position:

Position: Finance Manager

• Required: One (1)
• Duty station: Biratnagar with extensive field visits to the project areas
• Duration: Initial contract of three years with the possibility of extension
• Remuneration and Benefits: As per the rules and regulations of Helvetas Nepal 

Qualification, Experience, and Social Competence:

• Chartered Accountant; Minimum 7 years in medium to large organization, with experience in managing overall finance and accounting. Experience with the public financial management (PFM) system.
• Experience in international organizations is an advantage.
• Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, monitoring, and supervision of the overall financial system as well as financial closing and management of accounts
• Manage the grant to the Government of Nepal with the responsibility of accounting and reporting, following the standard government cash-based accounting system established by the Financial Comptroller General Office (FCGO), including the operation of a project account, financial disbursement; familiar with the operation of Line Ministry Budget Information System (LMBIS)
• Track and follow up of the project audit reports from the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) of each district and inform the donor in a timely manner
• Ensure an effective internal control system
