IOM Nepal – Human Resources Internship

Are you looking for an opportunity to kick-start your career in Human Resources within an international organization? The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is offering a six-month internship for aspiring HR professionals. Join us in Kathmandu and gain valuable experience in a multicultural environment.

Position: Intern – Human Resources

• Duty Station: Kathmandu, Nepal
• Position Required: 1 Position
• Classification: OTHER
• Type of Appointment: Internship, Six months
• Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible
• Closing Date: 13 November 2023

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support in administrative tasks and HR initiatives.
• Assist in digitalizing HR records for easy access.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive HR information.
• Collaborate with the HR team to organize and archive digital documents.
• Ensure the proper maintenance of personnel files, HR documents, and electronic records.
• Contribute to process improvement by suggesting innovative filing methods and software solutions.
• Undertake other assigned tasks.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in arts, Social Sciences/Social Work or related discipline from an accredited academic institution; or High School degree in above fields.
• Practical experience of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and working independently.
• Proficiency in data management, data entry, and maintaining data accuracy.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and HR practices.
• Basic understanding of Human Resources work.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
• Proven ability to produce quality work accurately and concisely within set deadlines.
• Languages: Fluency in English (oral and written) is required.
