“A world where every child is educated, safe, and loved”. Kopila Valley Sewa Samaj is a non-profitable NGO registered in Surkhet, Nepal to provide support for children and families in our community. Our programs include a residential children’s home, women’s empowerment center, sustainability, school, health and wellness, and family development. We provide our students a free education, educational materials, health treatment and medicine, counseling, and a place to live. With our innovative future program, we strive to provide our children with career guidance, and scholarships for further studies. We do this with our funding partner BlinkNow Foundation and in close ties with the local government and communities.
Position: Career Counselor
- Work Location: Birendranagar -4, Surkhet
- Reporting to: Program Coordinator
- Benefits: Competitive Salary, Festival allowance, SSF, On-site meals

Employment Type: Full-Time
Minimum Experience: Mid-level
Must Haves:
- Education: Graduate in relevant discipline with career counseling experience.
- Experience: At least 3+ years of proven experience
- Language: A good communicator, and fluent in English and Nepali would be an added advantage
- Skills and Abilities: Good on using Microsoft Office tools and email, skills to identify and administer appropriate assessment instruments & counseling techniques for individual students/alumni, ability to administer and interpret career assessments, knowledge of career counseling theory and practice, and job search methodology, active listening skills, and passionate about and cares for children and vulnerable population.
- Works collaboratively in a team setting and can function independently with the least supervision required.
The Main Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and mentorship to students to support them in their higher education.
- Provide career counseling to help them with their career upon graduation.
- Ensure that Futures data tracking and reporting are done timely and accurately.
Program Assistant – Future’s Program
- Work Location: Birendranagar-1, Surkhet
- Application Deadline: Rolling Basis
- Department: Kopila Valley Futures
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Minimum Experience: Entry-level
Must Haves:
- Education: Minimum 10+2 (or PCL) graduates in relevant discipline
- Experience: At least 1+ years of proven experience in relevant field
- Language: A good communicator, and fluent in English and Nepali would be an added advantage
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to self-manage, excellent communication skills and lead children, and their activities, passionate about and cares for children and vulnerable populations; initiator, and competent in managing operations and logistics in the organization, works collaboratively and independently with the least supervision required.
The Main Responsibilities:
- Lead Program Documentation
- Support Program Coordinator in collaborative and integrated interventions inter/intra programs
- Support KVS Alumni for their benefits and perform program base management activities
