- Male: Height – 5 feet 2 inches; Chest – 31-33 inches; Weight – 50 kg.
- Female: Height – less than 5 feet; Weight – 42 kg. Eyesight: Not weaker than minus 2 or plus 2.
- Character: No criminal convictions pertaining to moral turpitude.

- Indigenous Tribes: Valid document for the listed castes in the Nepal Tribal/Tribal National Upliftment Foundation Act. If multiple surnames exist within the listed caste, a copy certified by the chief district officer is needed (1 copy).
- Madhesi: A document certified as Madhesi by a specified organization or, if not available, a certification from the chief district officer (1 copy).
- Tharu: A document certified as Tharu by a specified organization or, if not available, a certification from the chief district officer (1 copy).
- Dalits: Valid document for the listed castes by the National Dalit Commission. If multiple surnames exist, a copy certified by the chief district officer is needed (1 copy).
- Backward Areas Residency: A citizenship certificate mentioning permanent residence in specific regions along with a confirmation document of current residence (valid up to three months before the application date). If the citizenship certificate is from a different district, a justification letter is required.
