Job Overview

The Livelihood Project Manager reports to the Programme Manager/Country Director and plays a critical role in managing and implementing the USAID Inclusive Livelihood Project in alignment with CBM Global‘s strategy. This position is based in Kohalpur, Banke, with a fixed-term contract until October 2025 and offers a competitive salary.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Project Management:
   • Lead and coordinate project activities.
   • Ensure adherence to project workplans and milestone reporting.
   • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
   • Oversee budget execution and donor compliance.
2. Partnership:
   • Manage project partnerships, collaborating closely with partners and the donor.
   • Support partners in developing work plans and addressing project challenges.
   • Contribute to creating a positive organizational image.
3. Grant Management:
   • Manage project finances in coordination with finance officers.
   • Guide and supervise project staff.
   • Identify and address project risks.
4. Monitoring and Evaluation:
   • Oversee the development of learning systems.
   • Monitor program quality and accountability.
   • Identify best practices and lessons learned.
5. Report Writing:
   • Create high-quality reports.
   • Coordinate with the Project Delivery team.
   • Communicate project progress systematically.
6. Technical Capacity Building:
   • Ensure capacity building of partner organizations and technical staff.
   • Develop training materials and facilitate training.
   • Represent CBM Global at conferences and seminars.
7. Humanitarian Action:
   • Be flexible to deploy in emergency response initiatives.
8. Safeguarding:
   • Ensure compliance with CBM Global’s Safeguarding policies.

Person Specification

Experience and Knowledge:

• Minimum 5 years of Project Manager experience.
• Experience with USAID programs.
• Partnership and team management experience.

Skills/Competencies/Personal Qualities:

• Strong livelihood project management skills.
• Proficient in English and Nepali.
• Self-management skills.
• Computer skills.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Qualifications, Training, and Education:

• Masters/PG degree in livelihood/management related social science or related field.
