Notice regarding the staff requirement of Mallarani Rural Development Concern Center, Pyuthan.

Mallarani Gramin Bikas Sarokar Kedra (Mallarani Rural Development Concern Center) is a civil society organization based on active mass membership for the social transformation of the community.

Established as the first non-governmental organization in Pyuthan district, this organization has been active in five main areas of work: social mobilization and community empowerment, health, nutrition and sanitation and hygiene, small physical infrastructure construction, climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction, and livelihood and entrepreneurship development.

This organization promotes self-reliant lives of citizens through empowerment of target groups and service-oriented work, taking good governance, gender equality and social inclusion, advocacy and local capacity development as its main issues.

To achieve the organization’s objectives, the organization has been coordinating and collaborating with various government and non-government agencies, development partners, local communities and other stakeholders.

Currently, the organization is implementing the USAID Integrated Nutrition Project in Pyuthan district with financial support from USAID and in partnership with Helen Keller International.

USAID Integrated Nutrition (June 2024 to June 2029) is a multi-sector project committed to improving the nutritional status of women, adolescents and children from underserved and marginalized communities in Nepal through strengthening health, food, water, sanitation and hygiene, education and social protection systems.

Since the following qualified personnel are urgently required for the effective implementation of this program in Pyuthan district, applications are invited from interested Nepali citizens.

Position: Program Coordinator

  • Number of people required: 1 (one) person.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health and Nutrition or related subjects from a recognized educational institution. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree.
  • Experience: Minimum five years of work experience in the government, non-government or private sector, of which at least two years should be in managing health and nutrition related programs in coordination with various stakeholders.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in project planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing.
    • Proficiency in staff development and team mobilization
    • Effective coordination with partners, stakeholders and networks and leadership in meetings.
    • Proficiency in both English and Nepali.
    • Professional skills in working with Word, Excel and PowerPoint on a computer.
    • Two-wheeler license.
    • Commitment to regularly visiting remote areas of the district.

Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (MEL Officer)

  • Required Number: 1 (one) person
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (Public Health, Knowledge Management, Population, Development Studies, Research, Social Sciences and Analysis or similar) from a recognized educational institution.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in managing monitoring and evaluation data in health-related projects, including quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
  • Skills:
    • Capable of data collection, analysis and management.
    • Skilled in project planning, monitoring and documentation and report writing to ensure the quality of each activity.
    • Skilled in professional writing, speaking and translating in English and Nepali.

Position: Integrated Nutrition Facilitator

  • Required Number: 2 (Two) People
  • Educational Qualification: JTA or CMA or ANM level in Agriculture or Veterinary from a recognized educational institution.
  • Experience: At least two years of field work in the field of health and nutrition.
  • Skills:
  • Ability to facilitate family, tole and ward level planning to address needs identified at the community level for nutrition improvement, and to develop and mobilize the capacity of family and local community organizations.
  • Ability to facilitate in Nepali and local languages.
  • Ability to record and monitor progress at the household, tole and ward levels and prepare reports in Nepali or English.
  • Two-wheeler license.
