Under the Innovations in Agri-Livestock Value Chains project conducted under the facilitation of Hefer International Nepal Economic Support and Rural Economic Development Association (REDA) Palpa, Friendly Social Entrepreneur Women’s Cooperative Society Ltd. conducted in Tansen Municipality Ward No. 03 through the value chain program of agricultural produce in Palpa district. Since there is a need for the employees mentioned in the details for the produce wholesale market center (vegetable processing center), applications are invited from eligible Nepali citizens within 7 days from the date of publication of this notice.

1. Requirement Details:

A) Position: Market Facilitator

• Number of posts: 1 person
• Minimum Qualification and Experience:
  • Management faculty or equivalent + 2 passed and at least 3 years’ experience in cooperative capacity development, marketing of agricultural produce.
  • Able to operate the machine connected to the vegetable processing center.
  • Able to prepare a strategic plan for the purchase and sale of agricultural produce and collect and market it on a daily basis.
  • Having special experience, knowledge and skills in project implementation, monitoring, reporting etc.
  • Having knowledge, skills and experience related to small farmer empowerment and entrepreneurship programs.
  • Participation of women and youth in the development of business and entrepreneurship based on agriculture and animal products and having special skills in social mobilization.
  • Entrepreneurs with skills and experience in business planning.
  • Able to coordinate and cooperate with local government, cooperatives and other stakeholders.
  • Computer (Microsoft word, excel, power point, internet) skills.
  • Having a two wheeler driver’s license and able to spend at least 80 percent of the time in the market area of ​​the processing center.
  • Applicants with their own vehicle will be given special preference.

Main Responsibilities:

• To operate the processing machine installed in the vegetable processing center.
• For this, the necessary vegetables are purchased and processed and sold.
• Marketing of goods produced by cooperatives and processing centers including branding.
• Keeping the accounts of the vegetable processing center accurate. Coordinate with the cooperative to manage and mobilize the employees working in the processing center.
• Collective marketing of agricultural produce through groups and cooperatives.
• To facilitate the establishment of cooperative and private sector business relations for increasing the access of farmers to quality agricultural materials, modern technology, and financial services.
• Documenting the statistics related to vegetable production and marketing of the project area.
• Prepare monthly and periodical reports and submit them to organizations and concerned bodies.
• Conducting meetings by contacting and coordinating with the characters of the value chain for the business expansion of the cooperative.
• Liaise and coordinate with relevant agencies for project management and implementation.
• Increasing the mobilization and capacity of farmer groups and cooperatives.
• To facilitate the preparation of grant proposals to government and non-government bodies for business expansion of groups and cooperatives.
• Coordinating with private, gas and government agencies for additional resource management.
• Prepare daily price list of vegetables and disseminate information.

2. Cooperative Market Representative

• Number of posts: 1 person
• Minimum Qualification and Experience:
  • To operate the processing machine installed in the vegetable processing center.
    For this, the necessary vegetables are purchased and processed and sold.
  • Collecting and selling vegetables and keeping accounts.
    Collect the amount of vegetables sold in the market and inform the processing center.
  • Facilitation for collective marketing.

Main Responsibilities:

• Able to read simple text and able to document.
