- Salary Allowance: As determined by the Government of Nepal.
- Minimum Qualifications Required
- There is no action to disqualify him for government service in the future.
- Not found guilty by the court in a criminal charge that appears to be morally corrupt.
- Passed Proficiency Certificate or equivalent from a recognized educational institution for the post of City Police Deputy Inspector and City Police Assistant Inspector.
- SEE from a recognized educational institution for the post of City Police Constable. Or passed the same.
- Passed 8th standard from a recognized educational institution for the post of City Police Constable.
- For the post of Deputy Inspector of City Police, at least the post of Jamdar of Nepal Army or Nepal Police or Armed Police Force has retired from the post of Police Assistant Inspector of Nepal.
- For City Police Assistant Inspector, at least retired from Nepal Army or Nepal Police or Armed Police Force, Senior Constable of Nepal.
