The Government of Nepal, Ministry of Home Affairs, Nepal Police Headquarters (Human Resource Development Department, Career Development Division, Recruitment Selection Branch), Naxal, Kathmandu, has issued a notification for new recruitment. Applications are invited from eligible Nepali citizens to fill the vacant posts of Police Constable and Police Office Assistant through open competition under inclusive provisions. Candidates must submit the application in person with a Rs. 10 revenue stamp.

1. Positions Details: 

Details of the available posts and required qualifications are as follows:

1. Position: Police Constable – 1165 
2. Position: Office Assistant (Sahayogi) – 47
3. Position: Office Assistant (Kuchikar) – 11

2. Documents for Application

Applicants must include the following documents with the application:

1. Copy of Nepali Citizenship Certificate
   • Must be clear and valid.
2. Passport-Sized Photographs
   • Five (5) recently taken identical photos showing the full face and both ears (for males, hair and beard must be trimmed).
3. Academic Certificates
   • Photocopies of all academic certificates, character certificates, provisional certificates (if applicable), and transcripts/marksheets for each level of education.
   • Candidates who studied abroad must include an equivalency certificate issued by the Higher Secondary Education Board or Tribhuvan University.
4. Documents for Martyr/Disabled Police Families
   • Official proof of the martyrdom/disability and a relationship verification document.
5. Documents for Inclusive Categories:
   • Indigenous/Janajati:
     • Proof of inclusion in the Indigenous/Janajati list as per the National Foundation for Indigenous Nationalities Act. If multiple subcastes exist under the listed group, a verification document from the local government head certified by the Chief District Officer (CDO) is required.
   • Madhesi:
     • Proof of identification as a Madhesi from an institution specified in the Nepal Gazette is required. If the document has not yet been gazetted, a document certified by the local government head and CDO is required.
   • Dalit:
     • Proof of inclusion in the Dalit list published by the National Dalit Commission. If multiple subcastes exist, the same verification process applies.
   • Backward Region Residents:
     • Permanent residency proof from backward regions (Achham, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Jumla, Dolpa, Bajhang, Bajura, Mugu, and Humla).
     • Applicants must have obtained their citizenship from the same district and reside there permanently as certified by the local authority at least three months before the application date.
6. Self-Attestation
   • All photocopies must include the applicant’s signature with the phrase “True Copy as Original.”

3. Exam/Selection Process

The recruitment process includes the following examination methods:

1. Preliminary Health and Physical Fitness Test
   • Conducted to assess the physical fitness and basic health of candidates.
2. Detailed Health Examination
   • A comprehensive health check for shortlisted candidates.
3. Written Examination (Police Constable Only)
   • Conducted by the Public Service Commission at designated exam centers.
   • The written test includes multiple-choice questions, with a 20% mark penalty for incorrect answers. Answers must be in capital letters (A, B, C, D) only.
4. Practical Test (Police Office Assistant Only)
   • Skill-based assessment relevant to the duties of the office assistant.
5. Interview
   • Final stage for selected candidates.

4. Additional Instructions

• Applications submitted without the required documents will be disqualified.

Exam Centers and Specialized Roles

The Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal, Kathmandu, has released additional details for the recruitment process, including exam locations, application centers, and specialized roles for Police Office Assistants. Candidates must follow the outlined instructions to complete their applications.

(1) Exam Locations and Application Centers

The exam centers for candidates based on their application locations are as follows:

1. Koshi Province:
   • Application Centers: District Police Offices of Taplejung, Panchthar, Ilam, Sankhuwasabha, Tehrathum, Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Khotang, Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga, Udayapur, Jhapa, Morang, and Sunsari.
   • Exam Location: Koshi Province Police Training Center, Biratnagar, Morang.
2. Madhesh Province:
   • Application Centers: District Police Offices of Saptari, Siraha, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, and Parsa.
   • Exam Location: Madhesh Province Police Training Center, Janakpur (Contact Office at Rajbiraj, Saptari).
3. Bagmati Province (1):
   • Application Centers: District Police Offices of Dolakha, Ramechhap, Sindhuli, Chitwan, and Makwanpur.
   • Exam Location: To be assigned by the respective District Police Offices.
4. Gandaki Province:
   • Application Centers: District Police Offices of Gorkha, Lamjung, Tanahun, Kaski, Manang, Mustang, Parbat, Syangja, Myagdi, and Baglung.
   • Exam Location: Gandaki Province Police Training Center, Pokhara, Kaski.
5. Lumbini Province:
   • Application Centers: District Police Offices of Nawalparasi (East and West), Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Palpa, Arghakhanchi, Gulmi, Rolpa, Pyuthan, and Dang.
   • Exam Location: Lumbini Province Police Training Center, Butwal, Rupandehi.
6. Karnali Province:
   • Application Centers: District Police Offices of Rukum (East and West), Banke, Bardiya, Salyan, Dolpa, Jumla, Mugu, Humla, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Dailekh, and Surkhet.
   • Exam Location: Karnali Province Police Training Center, Surkhet (currently Nepalgunj, Banke).
7. Sudurpashchim Province:
   • Application Centers: District Police Offices of Bajura, Bajhang, Doti, Achham, Darchula, Baitadi, Dadeldhura, Kanchanpur, and Kailali.
   • Exam Location: Sudurpashchim Province Police Training Center, Dipayal, Doti.
8. Kathmandu Valley:
   • Application Centers: District Police Offices of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kavrepalanchok, Sindhupalchok, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading.
   • Exam Location: Kathmandu Valley Police Academy, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.

(2) Specialized Roles for Police Office Assistant (Sahayogi & Kuchikar) 

Applicants for the Police Office Assistant position must choose a specialized role based on their preferences and skills. Each applicant must tick one role while submitting the form.

Specialized Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Cook (Bhanche):
   • Responsibilities include cooking meals in the police mess, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and managing utensils.
2. Cleaner (Kuchikar):
   • Responsibilities include cleaning offices, restrooms, bathrooms, and the office compound.

(3) Important Dates and Notifications

• Initial Health Test Schedule:
  The preliminary health test and physical fitness examination schedule will be published on 2081/10/21 at the respective police offices where applications were submitted. Details will also be available on the official Nepal Police website: www.nepalpolice.gov.np.

(4) Special Notes on the Recruitment Process

1. Inclusive Group Provisions:
   • The recruitment process follows the Supreme Court’s directives to ensure fair representation for inclusive groups. Positions not included in fiscal year 2079/80 will be adjusted as per legal provisions.
2. Application Guidelines:
   • Applicants must submit their forms at a single application center. Duplicate applications will be canceled.
   • Candidates must bring original documents when submitting applications.
3. Exam Results:
   • Results will be published after each phase, and only successful candidates will proceed to the next round.
4. Single Examination System:
   • A unified examination will be conducted for open and inclusive groups. Scores will determine eligibility within respective groups.
5. Vacancy Adjustments:
   • Vacancies may be adjusted before the written exam results, with announcements made accordingly.
6. Rejected Applications:
   • Applications not meeting the criteria can be rejected at any stage. The application fee will not be refunded.
7. Curriculum Availability:
   • Examination syllabuses are available on the Nepal Police website. Applicants can also download application forms and submit them with the required documents at the designated office.
