Plan International Nepal Vacancy 2023: USAID Education Project Vacancies

Plan International Nepal is now inviting applications from interested candidates for positions within the USAID funded Education: Equity and Inclusion Project, with a project duration until September 30, 2025.

1. Technical Advisor (Kathmandu – Government Office)

Responsibility:

• Develop and oversee the implementation strategy for Government of Nepal disbursement linked-indicators (DLIs).
• Coordinate with government institutions, particularly MoEST, CEHRD, and provincial and local governments, to ensure the quality implementation of DLIs related to equity and inclusion activities under the School Sector Education Plan (SESP).
• Work closely with MOEST and CEHRD on a rapid review of systems and procedures for measuring tools, approaches, and reporting on equity and inclusion related DLIs.
• Liaise and collaborate with Government of Nepal (GoN) counterparts, including MEST and CEHRD, and provincial education directorates to engage other actors active in the DLI and education spaces in Madhesh and Karnali provinces.

2. Communication and Social Behaviour Change Specialist (Kathmandu)

Responsibility:

• Provide technical assistance for the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) strategies.
• Build the capacity of partners and their frontline staff in SBCC.
• Influence children, communities, and duty bearers to adopt and sustain positive behaviors that promote education outcomes.
• Utilize best practices and learning to inform the development of effective SBCC strategies, frameworks, tools, and materials addressing a wide range of education-related issues.

3. HR Coordinator (Kathmandu)

Responsibility:

• Provide efficient and effective HR support to the USAID Education: Equity and Inclusion Project.
• Collaborate closely with the Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, and Human Resource & Organisational Development Director.
• Support recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with global and local HR policies.
• Strengthen Plan’s values and behaviors, support capacity-building activities, and foster a high-performance culture.
