Province Manager Jobs at Helvetas Nepal 2024
ENSSURE, a bilateral initiative of the Governments of Nepal and Switzerland, supports Nepalese youths, women, and men, gain social and economic benefits from a federalized TVET system. To the end, the project has been supporting 3 spheres of governments to deliver TVET functions as per their constitutional mandate.
The project is being implemented by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) at the federal level, by the Ministry of Social Development at the provincial level, and by municipalities within these provinces at the local level with technical support from Helvetas Nepal.
Building on the experience of its phase one, the project has been supporting the governments to scale up and institutionalize work-based learning, which includes Dual VET-Apprenticeship, Training with OJT, and Workers’ Further Training. Besides, the project has been providing career guidance to youths, and students in grades 9 and 10.
Helvetas Nepal invites applications from committed and experienced Nepali citizens for the following position:
Position: Province Manager (2)
- Duty Station: Any one of the 3 provinces – Koshi, Lumbini, and Bagmati Province
- Duration: Till 15 July 2025 with the possibility of extension
- Salary and Benefits: As per rules and regulations of Helvetas Nepal
Job Purpose:
The position is overall responsible to lead the province-level Project Support Unit and work closely with the Project Implementation Unit of the relevant Province Ministry; provide technical assistance to the Province Government (PG) and Local Governments (LGs) for the implementation of the project activities; collaborate with PG, LGs, private sectors, and their associations in respective provinces regarding the Dual VET; and responsible for respective Province’s finance, administration, and human resource management.
Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence:
Master’s degree in development studies, Social Science, Business Management, or in any relevant discipline. Minimum 7 years of working experience in project/program implementation with a minimum of 3 years of experience with Province and local governments and proven experience in managing finance, administration, and human resources of the project. Prior experience in TVET and industry associations/chambers will be an advantage. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction.
