Tanahu Hydropower Limited (THL) is the executing agency (EA) for the construction of the Tanahu Hydropower Project funded by the Nepal Government, Nepal Electricity Authority with loan support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), European Investment Bank (EIB) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Tanahu Hydropower Limited is responsible for implementing environmental and social safeguard plans for the project. For this, it has established an Environmental and Social Management Unit (ESMU) to implement various Environmental Management Plans (EMPs). This program is supported by an Environmental and Social Monitoring Service Provider (ESMSP) — consultant for the preparation and implementation of the various EMPs.
Tanahu Hydropower Limited intends to recruit one senior environmental expert to work under ESMU. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for the relevant posts along with a citizenship certificate, CV, and other relevant academic and experience certificates attested by their own to the company address within 15 days from the first date of publication of the notice.

Education and Qualification:
- Master’s degree in environment, forestry, biology, botany, zoology, or related field from a recognized university. She/he shall preferably have at least 8 years of relevant professional experience at the officer level in a relevant field in government or any national or international organization.
- Working Experience in the donor safeguard policy of ADB, EIB, and World Bank would be an additional advantage.

Salary and Other Benefits:
Salary and other benefits will be as per the company rules and regulation. Selected candidates will be assigned 1-year contract with possibility of extension based on his/her performance.
