Transcultural Psychosocial Organization Nepal (TPO) Nepal is a prominent psychosocial organization dedicated to enhancing the mental health and psychosocial well-being of individuals in conflict-affected and vulnerable communities. Established in 2005, we focus on creating sustainable, culturally sensitive, and community-based psychosocial support systems.
Project Information:
Join our ALIVE research project, which aims to develop and test interventions to prevent depression and anxiety among adolescents (ages 13-15) in poverty-affected urban areas of Nepal. TPO Nepal, in collaboration with the Wellcome Trust via King’s College London, is implementing this project. The intervention, delivered by trained facilitators, consists of weekly group sessions over 24 weeks, supervised by experienced mentors.
Position 1: Intervention Trainer (Economic)
- Job Station: Kathmandu
- Job Duration: 10 months
- Number of Openings: 3
- Start Date: Immediate
Major Responsibilities:
- Participate in Training of Trainers (ToT) to train intervention facilitators in economic interventions for adolescents and caregivers.
- Lead practice sessions to ensure trainer competency.
- Train intervention facilitators to implement economic interventions based on ToT and intervention manuals.
- Ensure the quality and fidelity of intervention sessions.
- Facilitate and coordinate group interventions among research participants.
- Provide regular supervision during practice and actual intervention.
- Prepare training and supervision reports and updates for the project team.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, finance, or a related field.
- Experience in financial, cooperative, or microfinance training.
- Familiarity with financial management.
- Prior experience working with adolescents.
- Competence in in-person training and supervision.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Experience in training and supervising community-based livelihood workers is a plus.
- Age between 25-40.
- Possession of a motorbike/scooter driving license and a valid passport is advantageous.
Position 2: Intervention Trainer (Psychosocial)
- Job Station: Kathmandu
- Job Duration: 10 months

- Experience in training and supervising community-based psychosocial workers is a plus.
- Age between 25-40.
- Possession of a motorbike/scooter driving license and a valid passport is advantageous.
