UNDP Funded Jobs in CIN Lumbini 2023: Project Coordinator, Vermicomposting Expert, Admin & Finance, Social Mobilizer

Introduction:

Creative Institute Nepal (CIN), a feminist non-profit organization, is seeking passionate individuals to join the Municipality Solid Waste Management Project in Lumbini Sanskritik Municipality (MSWMP), funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). These positions are available on a contract basis for 3 months.

Vacancy Details:

1. Position Title: Project Coordinator

• Position Number: 1
• Sex: Women
• Work Place: Lumbini Saskritik Municipality
• Period: 3 Months
• Salary and Benefits: As per organization’s policy

Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and implement the Solid Waste Management Project.
• Oversee project delivery, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Develop monthly and quarterly work plans and budget forecasts.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree with 1 year or Bachelor’s with 2 years of relevant experience in Environmental Science, Climate Science/Studies, or Applied Science.
• Experience in project management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
• Prior experience with USAID/UN/EU funded projects and Solid Waste Management is a plus.

2. Position Title: Vermicomposting Expert

• Position Number: 1
• Sex: Marginalized Women or Man
• Work Place: Lumbini Saskritik Municipality
• Period: 3 Months
• Salary and Benefits: As per organization’s policy

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee vermicomposting operations.
• Provide training on vermicomposting techniques.
• Ensure the quality of the compost product.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s with 2 years or Master’s with 1 year in Environmental Science, Agriculture, or related field.
• Proven experience in vermicomposting operations and management.
• Strong knowledge of composting principles and effective communication skills.

3. Position Title: Admin and Finance

• Position Number: 1
• Sex: Women
• Work Place: Lumbini Saskritik Municipality
• Period: 3 Months
• Salary and Benefits: As per organization’s policy

Responsibilities:

• Financial Management of the Project/Program.
• Bookkeeping, Budgeting, and Reporting.
• Admin and Supply Chain Management.
• Compliance and more.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Commerce, Business Studies, or equivalent. Master’s in Finance/Accounting preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of NGO financial management experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with accounting software.

4. Position Title: Social Mobilizer

• Position Number: 1
• Sex: Marginalized Woman or Man
• Work Place: Lumbini Saskritik Municipality
• Period: 3 Months
• Salary and Benefits: As per organization’s policy

Responsibilities:

• Support the project team in identifying technical opportunities and challenges related to SWM.
• Compile community-level data per project requirements.
• Form and mobilize groups/communities in line with project goals.

Qualifications:

• Intermediate (10+2) in a relevant field.
• Minimum one year of NGO work experience.
• Experience in data collection, program facilitation, and community engagement.
