SummaryThe U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Clerk (Receptionist-Medical Unit).   This vacancy is open to all interested applicants.
Work Time/HoursThe work schedule for this position is Full Time (40 hours per week).

Duties

The incumbent provides general administrative and clerical support for the U.S. Mission Medical Unit. The incumbent will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate staff in the medical unit, mail distribution, correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as other clerical duties.  The incumbent is the first point of contact for patients and visitors to the Medical Unit and must maintain absolute patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCEAt least one year of secretarial or receptionist experience is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGEGood knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures is required. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices is required.
Education RequirementsCompletion of Higher Secondary education is required.
EvaluationsThese may be tested ( Language, Skills, and Abilities).  
LANGUAGEGood Working Knowledge of Reading/Writing/Speaking English is required.  Fluent Reading/Writing/Speaking Nepali is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIESThe ability to use various computer applications such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
