It provides a wide range of primary and secondary hospital services to our surrounding communities. Medical Officer
| Required No.: 1-2 |
| Main Role |
| Work as a member of the hospital medical team in the care of inpatients, outpatients and the emergency room. Participate in the doctors’ on-call duty roster. |
| Qualifications: Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery MBBS (or equivalent) from a recognised university with Nepal Medical Council registration. |
| Preferred Experience |
| Newly graduated medical officers are welcome to apply. |
| One or two years of working as a hospital-based medical officer would be an advantage. |
| Grade level 9. Salary and benefits are according to OCH standards. |

Position: Consultant in General Practice (MDGP)
| Required No.: 1 |
| Main Role |
| In conjunction with the Medical Coordinator and other senior doctors, day-to-day responsibility for clinical activities in the hospital, with specific oversight of the Emergency Room. |
| Qualifications |
| Doctor of Medicine in General Practice MDGP (or equivalent) from a recognised university with Nepal Medical Council registration. |
| Preferred Experience |
| Newly graduated MDGP qualified doctors are welcome to apply. |
| One or two years of working as an MDGP consultant post-specialist training would be an advantage. |
| Grade level 11. Salary and benefits are according to OCH standards. |
| The medical work at OCH is broad and diverse. There are many opportunities to gain experience and skills in both medical and surgical conditions. Our maternity service delivers 100 babies per month, with the full range of normal and operative deliveries. Management of emergency and trauma patients are a regular part of the work. There is a regular teaching programme. The hospital hosts visiting international specialists from time to time who come to work for short periods. The MDGP consultant position is a senior doctor’s position in our medical team. |
Residency Surgical Fellow
| Main Role |
| In conjunction with other senior doctors, day-to-day responsibility for clinical activities in the hospital, with an emphasis on hospital surgical services. |
| Qualifications |
| Master of Surgery in General Surgery MS (or equivalent) from a recognised university with Nepal Medical Council registration. |
| Preferred Experience |
| Newly graduated MS (general surgery) qualified doctors. |
| A willingness to expand and develop one’s own surgical skills practising in a rural location encountering a wide range of surgical conditions. |
| Grade level 10. Salary and benefits are according to OCH standards. |
