SAHAS has been working in remote rural areas focusing on vulnerable and socially excluded families who are derived of development opportunities. SAHAS puts its development efforts towards strengthening the capacities of communities and to create an enabling environment for sustaining development activities by fostering collective efforts of the communities themselves. |
| SAHAS Nepal is implementing “Food and Nutrition Security Project” in Jahada Rural Municipality, Morang district. This project is focused on agriculture and nutrition of the marginalized people. Specifically, it aims to improve food security and nutrition for vulnerable, socially excluded and marginalized families such as Dalits, women, persons with disabilities (PwDs), and single women. |
| SAHAS Nepal is looking the potential candidatesfor the following positions for Food and Nutrition Security Project: |
A) Food and Nutrition Security Project
| 1. Position: Project Coordinator |
| Duty station: Jahada Rural Municipality, Morang district |
| Required number: 1 |
| Academic qualification/experiences: |
| Master degree in agriculture, environment science or related discipline, with 2 years’ work experience in food and nutrition security, sustainable agriculture and project management. |
| Major responsibilities: |
| Management of the project by providing leadership role in the areas of planning, budgeting, monitoring, documentation and reporting. |
| Facilitate the development of staff capacity to implement the project, including enhancing their understanding and ability to carry out project activities. |
| Establish coordination and network with local government, and other key stakeholders at the local and provincial level. |
| Organise workshop at Local and Province level. |
| Participate in organisational level meetings and seminars. |
| 2. Position: Admin and Finance Assistant |
| Duty station: Jahada Rural Municipality, Morang district |
| Required number: 1 |
| Academic qualification/experiences: |
| Intermediate or 10+2 in Business Management or Equivalent Degree from a recognized university |
| At least 1-year of working experience in a related field |
| Effective team player and can thrive under pressure |
| Excellent computer skills in Excel, Ms-Word, Power point, skills in Accounting Software |
| Major responsibilities: |
| Establish and maintain day to day financial accounts, financial management and reporting |
| ensure accounting and documentation of all financial transactions are carried out accurately and in a timely manner |
| Implementation of the compliance of the government, funding partner and the organization |
| Manage procurement and logistic related responsibilities |
| Handle multi-project accounts |
| Maintain safety, secure of the project assets, stock, and keep records of personal files, tax, Social Security Fund and other salary related information of the respective project |
| 3. Position: Senior Agriculture Technician |
| Duty station: Jahada Rural Municipality, Morang district |
| Required number: 1 |
| Academic qualification/experiences: |
| Bachelor’s degree or Intermediate in Agriculture from recognized university with at least 5 years’ experience in relevant field |
| Major responsibilities: |
| Provide technical support to the project team in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting field activities in alignment with the project’s goals and objectives. |
| Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually report |
| Review project budget, track the expenditure of budget regularly |
| Coordinate with rural municipality level line agencies and like-minded organizations to develop the synergy in programs |
| 4. Position: Agriculture Technician |
| Duty station: Jahada Rural Municipality, Morang district |
| Required number: 1 |
| Academic qualification/experiences: |
| TSLC in Agriculture plus 2 years working experiences in relevant areas. |
| Major responsibilities: |
| Implement agriculture based activities and technical support |
| Communication and coordination with Municipality and Rural Municipality |
| Group formation and social mobilization |
| Report writing |
| 5. Position: Health Technician |
| Duty station: Jahada Rural Municipality, Morang district |

| TSLC in Health plus 2 years working experience in relevant areas |

B) Aarambha: Improving Inclusive and Quality Education by Mobilizing Communities Structure Project
| The proposed project’s primary objective is to ensure inclusive and high-quality education for children in rural public schools. It employs a holistic approach, incorporating organized community structures, enhanced teacher capacity in child-friendly teaching techniques, improved learning environment, strengthened school governance, and upgraded infrastructures. |

| 6. Position: Education Officer |
| Duty station: Jahada Rural Municipality, Morang district |
| Required number: 1 |
| Academic qualification/experiences: |
| Bachelor’s degree in education, social science or relevant field with minimum 2 years of experience in teaching or in the sector of education. |
| Major responsibilities: |
| Provide technical support to the project team in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting field activities in alignment with the project’s goals and objectives |
| Work with school teachers and facilitators of Community Managed Coaching Centers (CMCCs) to identify areas where students are struggling |
| Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually report |
| Establish coordination and network with local government, and other key stakeholders at the local and provincial level |
| 7. Position: Education Educator |
| Duty station: Jahada Rural Municipality, Morang district |
| Required number: 4 |
| Academic qualification/experiences: |
| Intermediate or Plus two in education or Social development in relevant field with minimum 1 year experienceas Social Mobilizer or education sector |
| Major responsibilities: |
| Plan educational activities and implement in rural communities schools |
| Conduct and facilitate meeting/seminar coordinating with SAMVAD groups |
| Work in the consortium to develop the learning levels for the children and design the tools to assess the literacy abilities in the beneficiaries. |
| Provide technical inputs during the preparation of promotional materials such as pamphlets, banners for educational activities. |
| Work closely with all the stakeholders at rural municipalities/district level to assure proper school education management |
